All Tournaments will be playing Guitar Hero 2

  • The songs for each matchup will be drawn from a hat to ensure fair play.

  • The winner will be the person with the highest score (Points) NOT the person with the most correct notes.

  • The games and equipment will be provided by Best Buy.  If you bring your own guitars you will not be able to use them.

  • All tournaments will be double elimination, you can only lose twice.

  • Registration forms will be available after February 5th at CD World (across from Edwards Theatre.)

  • Pre Registration cost is $12, $20 the day of. Listen to the live remote from CD World on Feb 20 from 4-6pm on Z103 FM. 

  • First Place Prize in the Expert Division is a Electric Guitar Package from Mikes Music,  plus a trophies from Amazing Trophies from 1st 2nd & 3rd place.

  • First Place Prize in the Intermediate Division will be an Acoustic Guitar Package from Mikes Music plus Trophies 

  • First Place Prize in the Beginner Division will be a Gift certificate from mikes Music plus Trophies.

  • Door Prizes from all of our sponsors will be given out throughout the tournament.

  • In the Expert level, Hyper speed will be an option if both contestants want to use it.  In the event that one player would prefer the game standard, Hyper speed will be turned off.

  • Each TV and division will have a staff member/referee.

  • Contestant will be required to show up at 9am. Registration on the day or will be from 8:30 to 9:30am Tournament scheduled to start at 10am

  • The Tournament will be held at the entrance between Barnes & Nobel and The Buckle at the Grand Teton Mall

  • In case there is a tie, the contestants will compete again with a different song.

  • Any mishandling of equipment (throwing of guitar, hitting guitar or game console, breaking buttons or wammy bar of guitar, damage of tv, etc.) will result in elimination from tournament and possibly paying for damages incurred.

  • On completion of a division the equipment will then be used for remaining divisions.

  • No practice songs will be given before the tournament.
